Coated engine components for the 70 series Landcruiser – to protect against corrosion common in underground fleets

Corrosion is a huge issue that affects LV fleets across the country time and time again, specifically when it comes to fleets used in underground mining operations. The corrosion is caused by the vehicles high exposure to the elements; salt water, mud, dirt, dust, debris… the list goes on. These factors mean that corrosion and build up is inevitable, and can become catastrophic quickly.

So we decided to do something about it

The Takeo range of corrosion protected parts are OE components, specially coated with a high performance coating, designed to reduce heat exposure and increase resistance to corrosion and rust.

The coating is done locally in Western Australia, by industry leaders with experience in the mining and automotive field, as well as marine and aeronautic projects..

At the moment, our range of coated parts are solely focused on the VDJ 70 series Landcruiser, the vehicles most commonly used in underground mining operations, and ultimately the vehicles that see the most damage due to corrosion. These parts are also specific to the engine and surrounding components, where potential damage is most catastrophic.
