Most of our anti-corrosion range consist of the base OEM component, which is then treated with a corrosion resistant surface coating. This means the component is an exact match of the base OEM part, but lasts a lot longer on corrosive mine sites.
Results vary by site and conditions, but coated engine sump kits have been shown to last up to 400% longer than uncoated equivalents in corrosive mining environments.
The engine sump, oil cooler, sump pan, starter motor, turbocharger and timing cover are among the most exposed — anywhere mud and moisture can collect and sit against bare metal.
Both — the complete sump kit bundles the highest-risk components together, but starter motor, turbo, oil cooler, sump pan, coolant/water inlet pipe and timing cover kits are also available individually.
